Welcome to HAWAII DRIFT! I'm Michael Richter and I created this site to share my Hawaii experience with you. I first visited Hawaii when I was living in Hong Kong in the early 90's while working as a marketer at News Corporation (STAR TV), MGM and Turner Entertainment. On my first trip to Hawaii, I discovered it was everything I loved - a rich culture, a diversity of people, spectacular natural surroundings and a bounty of adventure sports. I had the good fortune to buy real estate back in the mid-90's and this led to obtaining a real estate license, leveraging my international experience with clients and marketing, and making further investments during my many visits to the islands.
Keauhou Palena is a vacation rental and I'm offering a discounted rate starting at $85/night for the summer months, depending on the length of stay. It has one bedroom, two bathrooms and can divide the living area to create a guest room with a daybed. There are gorgeous views from the lanai with an unobstructed view of the golf course with the ocean in the distance. It's only two blocks to Keauhou Bay or to Keauhou Shopping Center, yet the complex itself is situated in a very quiet area with a pool, beautiful gardens, and all the comforts of home in a very tastefully designed and furnished condo.
Keauhou Kai is less than 100-yards to Keauhou Bay next to the Keauhou Outrigger Canoe Club. This property is typically leased for a minimum of 6-months and has been a wonderful investment property and occasional 2nd home. This condo is currently for sale and for lease at $1400/month, minimum 6-month lease. Friends and family can also rent Keauhou Kai by booking through the owner on this site.
As an active mountain biker, outrigger canoeist and ceramicist, the big island is a wonderful escape for me for sports and hobbies. I currently live in the Bay Area (California) managing my marketing consulting business, Immerse International. I help businesses with marketing strategy, then assist in developing campaigns using conventional media, digital video, social media and other on-line marketing tactics.
HAWAII DRIFT is my way of sharing inside stories about Hawaii through blogs, imagery and digital video.
